Kimberly boys lead from the start against Appleton East

The Kimberly Papermakers boys basketball team led from the opening tip against Appleton East last week. The Papermakers started the game on a 13-0 run and never looked back as they grabbed a 64-50 win over the Patriots to grab their fifth win of the season.

Jordan Pynenberg was one of the standouts for the Little Chute wrestling team as he took third in the 285 lbs. bracket at last weekend’s Badger Scramble in Lake Geneva. The Mustangs had three top five finishes as they had 60 points in the invite.

Kaukauna wrestling takes first at Badger Scramble

The Kaukauna wrestling team had five first place finishers at last week’s Badger Scramble in Lake Geneva. Nehemiah Lendobeja, Liam Crook, Brady Sprangers, Hunter Taff, and Trenton Van Schyndel all took first as the Ghosts had a first place team finish with 312 points.

With Kaukauna entering the Tuesday, Jan. 7, game at 4-1 in the conference and Oshkosh West entering at 1-4, fans expected a rather convincing victory for the Galloping Ghosts, and the boys wearing their home white uniforms treated the home crowd what they expected.

Rylan Behling had the top finish for the Kimberly Papermakers wrestling team as they took 18th with 30 points at the Duffy invite. Behling took sixth in the 113 lbs. bracket, while Daniel Grey and Kian Dunham both took seventh.

Kaukauna wrestling gets eight pins in road win over Neenah

In their lone match of the week, the Kaukauna Galloping Ghosts wrestling team took care of business on the road against Neenah in conference action. The Ghosts had eight pins in their 63-13 win over the Rockets.
