A very deep and talented group of young ladies at Little Chute High School means the school is bringing a woman-domnated show, “Sister Act” to the stage this week.
Sister Act: A Divine Musical Comedy comes to the Little Chute High School auditorium on Nov. 11, 12, and 13 at 7 p.m.

Little Chute School Board approves budget, tax levy

The Little Chute School Board approved a final 2021-22 general fund budget of $19,418,519 with $4,491,825 levy and a 7.21 mill rate last week. 
The total represents a $845,207 decrease from last year. A $100,000 property will pay $721.49, a $150,000 property will pay $1,082.23, and a $200,000 property will pay $1,442.97.

Kimberly School Board votes to alter masking policy

The Kimberly Area School District Board of Education voted to alter the district-wide masking policy at last week’s regular meeting.
In a 6-1 vote, board members voted to make masks optional for students in grades seven through 12, beginning Nov. 1. On Jan. 3, masks will be optional for grades 4K through 6.

Kaukauna board of education approves reduced mill rate

The Kaukauna school board approved a $7.04 mill rate for the 2021-22 tax levy at last week’s meeting, down from $8.49 for the 2020-21 tax year. The state government is giving school districts greater state aid, but has capped the revenue limit, causing the large decrease in the mill rate.

The September meeting was held on Monday, Sept. 13, at 6:34 p.m. Members with September birthdays were recognized. We had 154 percent volunteer at the dairy bar at the 2021 Outagamie County Fair.
