The Kaukauna Galloping Ghosts girls basketball team showed their depth in their first game of the season. Five different players scored in double figures and the team forced 39 turnovers in their 101-26 win over D.C. Everest last week.
The Kimberly wrestling team has top of the conference expectations this season. The team brings back several key wrestlers including Augsburg commit Karsen Otis, who made it to state last season.
Kaukauna senior Kally Meredith made her college softball decision official last week. The senior signed her letter of intent to play softball at Florida International University during a ceremony at the school.

In a battle of 12-1 teams with the gold trophy on the line, Blake Barry made sure that a WIAA state football championship would once again come back to Papermaker Nation.
It was a thrilling volleyball season in the Heart of the Valley. From comebacks for the Kimberly girls volleyball team against Appleton North and Green Bay Southwest to near state appearances by both the girls and boys volleyball teams at Kimberly.
As a sports fan, I am probably as die-hard as it gets. Ask anyone that knows me really well, it is extremely hard to get me away from any Brewers game yet any Wisconsin Sports event.
After 20 years, Little Chute head volleyball coach Anna Maass is stepping down as the team’s head coach. She is now set to focus on her family at home as well as her school family in her role as the intermediate and middle school principal.

Blake Barry made sure that his senior class wouldn’t end a 16-year streak of senior classes making it to state for the Kimberly Papermakers. Barry ran for four touchdowns in Kimberly’s 42-21 Level 4 playoff win over Bay Port last week in Menasha.
