The Little Chute Mustangs wrestling program got two second place finishes at the Sgt. Nick Mueller wrestling invite last weekend. Aydian Stingle took second in the 150 lbs. bracket, while Layton McMahon took second in the 144 lbs. bracket.
Kimberly junior Landon Fellner had the program’s best finish at their home invite last week. Fellner earned two wins before taking a loss in the first place match of the 157 lbs. bracket.
The junior duo of Haylie Dulas and Ava Van Vonderen made their impact last week as the two had two double digit games in their wins over Hortonville and Oshkosh North.
The Little Chute Mustangs girls basketball team bounced back well after a tough conference opener last week against Luxemburg-Casco as the program earned their first conference win in two years last week with their home win over Waupaca.
The Little Chute girls basketball team saw their freshmen step up again as they added a second win to their resume in the early stretch of the season. The Mustangs held Green Bay East to 13 points as they allowed only seven points in the first half of the 62-13 win.
The Kimberly Papermakers wrestling program is aiming at finishing near the top of the FVA this winter. The boys bring back two 20 match winners in Kian Dunham and Daniel Grey, while the girls bring back four wrestlers that qualified for sectionals a season ago.
