Both Kaukauna and Little Chute got wins in a weekend tournament last week in De Pere. The Ghosts had a big tournament from Alexis Van Elzen, while the Mustangs had a big effort from senior Ashley Graf.
Kimberly junior Kylie Kirkland has taken one of her passions and helped spearhead a new equestrian team at the school. The two person team recently competed in Oshkosh and took third in their division.
Kimberly suffered a 2-0 loss to Neenah as the Rockets scored a goal in the half before scoring a goal in 20th minute of the second half. Neenah had eight shots, while Kimberly had four as goalkeeper Quinn Collett had nine saves in the match.
Little Chute junior Ben Toeppler finally got his first overall win as he took first at last week’s Waupaca invite. The junior ran a time of 16:36.7 as the boys team took fourth with 120 points.
Ellie and Maddie Vandenberg have a unique bond as twins on the Kimberly girls tennis team. The identical twins are super close and show that on the team.
After a tough first set, Kaukauna’s girls volleyball team played tough with Kimberly before the Papermakers got the edge in a three set sweep (25-12, 25-20, 25-21).
The Little Chute Mustangs had another impressive day on the ground during their 49-0 shutout win on Homecoming against Sheboygan Falls. The Mustangs ran for 360 yards in the victory as they head into a conference title tilt with Luxemburg-Casco on the road this week.
