McCarthy helps lead Kimberly girls soccer to first state trip since 2011

Emily McCarthy made sure her senior year didn’t just end with a graduation ceremony. The Marquette commit had two hat tricks last week for the Papermakers as she helped the team secure their first state trip since 2011 after 4-0 wins over both Appleton West and D.C. Everest.

Deering and Kieffer lead Kimberly baseball to regional title against Hortonville

Sawyer Deering and Benny Kieffer both had two hits efforts, while the Kimberly pitching had 10 strikeouts in their 8-4 playoff win over conference foe Hortonville last week. With the win, the Papermakers advance to sectional play this week.

Kaukauna baseball ends season with playoff heartbreaker against Appleton East

The Kaukauna Galloping Ghosts baseball team saw their season end with a heartbreaker. The Ghosts let a 3-1 lead disappear in the seventh inning of their 4-3 regional loss to Appleton East last week.

Salzmann commits to D3 track powerhouse in UW-La Crosse

Over the past four years, Kimberly senior Logan Salzmann has had a rivalry in cross country and track with Kaukauna’s Andrew Milhans. Now after graduation, the two will be teammates as Salzmann committed to UW-La Crosse last month.

Kimberly’s Rill headed to state golf meet

Kimberly senior Chance Rill is headed to next week’s state golf tournament at Blackwolf Run. Rill had a fifth place finish at the Notre Dame sectional last week on the Thornberry Creek Golf Course as he led Kimberly golfers with a 76 in the meet.

The Kimberly Papermakers girls soccer team got two more goals from Emily McCarthy in their regional final match last Saturday. The senior scored a goal in both halves as she had five shots on goal in the 2-0 win over De Pere.
