The Kimberly Papermakers boys tennis team will be looking to gain some experience this spring, but brings back some key contributors from last year’s state appearance.
The expectations remain the same for Kaukauna softball even with a new coach at the helm. The program still has state expectations after the graduation of pitcher Karly Meredith and the retirement of head coach Tim Roehrig.
Kimberly alum Evan Olson has shown some offense in the early going for UW-Whitewater. Olson hit two home runs last week for the defending national champion Warhawks.
After an 11 win season a year ago with five wins in the FVA, head coach Nate Laabs is hoping his Kaukauna girls soccer team will be competitive despite graduating 20 players over the last two seasons.
Kimberly’s Claudia Asman and Kaukauna’s Addison Banaszynski got one more chance to wear their high school basketball uniforms last week as the two played in the first annual girls all-star game at Kaukauna High School.
Both of Kimberly’s lacrosse teams got their first wins under their belt last week. The boys got a decisive win over Stevens Point, while the girls got a win over Pulaski at home.
Travis Pfrang has liked the effort his team put together in the offseason in preparation for this season. Last spring, his Mustangs went 2-19 with one win in conference play and the team returns a big chunk of last year’s roster after only three players graduated a year ago.
After back-to-back state appearances, the Kimberly Papermakers girls soccer team has high expectations again this season. Last season, the Papermakers went 17-4-2 overall and edged out Appleton North for the conference title before losing to Muskego in the state tournament.
