McCarty Law’s Chandler Diekvoss helped get the 57th annual Holy Cross Men’s Open off to a good start with a solid scoring performance in the first game of the tournament.
It was the Tyler Schwalbach and Andrew Jensen show for the Kaukauna Galloping Ghosts in their WIAA Division 1 Sectional Semifinal win against Neenah last week. In a game held at Kimberly, the duo combined for 39 points during Kaukauna’s 64-44 win over the Rockets.
Kaukauna’s wrestling program will have three more wrestlers collegiately next year as Nehemiah Lendobeja and Zach Winnekens have made choices at where they will wrestle next year, joining Liam Crook, who is headed to Virginia.
Little Chute alum and UW- Oshkosh thrower Gavin Fritsch added national champion to his resume last week. The former Mustang took first at last week’s NCAA Division 3 track and field indoor championships in Birming-ham, Ala.

OSHKOSH – The Appleton North Lighting made their shots and their free throws when they needed to as they handed Kaukauna a 58-53 WIAA Division 1 Sectional Final loss on Saturday afternoon.
