The Kimberly Papermakers wrestling team took ninth at the Duffy invite in Port Washington last weekend. The team scored 97.5 points in the invite and were about four points away from a seventh place finish.

The Kaukauna wrestling team took eighth at the Cheesehead Invitational last weekend. The Ghosts scored 290.5 points during the meet and were 10 points behind seventh place finisher Fennimore.

Elliana Martin provided a double digit performance for the Little Chute girls basketball team in their game prior to the holiday break on Dec. 22. Martin scored 10 points in their 47-18 road loss to Luxemburg-Casco.

The Kaukauna girls basketball team a dominating first half as they got a dominating win over Appleton West on Dec. 22. The Galloping Ghosts only allowed 11 points in the first half as they took home a 90-32 win on the road before heading on their trip to Arizona.

Kate McGinnis and Haylie Dulas provided some three point scoring for the Kimberly Papermakers girls basketball team. Both hit three in the team’s 60-45 win over the Lighting on Dec. 22.

Bryson Vieth’s heroics ended up being a footnote despite a 74-67 loss at home against Appleton North before the holiday break on Dec. 22. Vieth hit a desperation three pointer just ahead of half court at the regulation buzzer during Kimberly’s home loss to the Lighting.

The Kaukauna girls basketball team reached the championship game during their Arizona tournament last week. The team went 1-1 in tournament play in the Phoenix Cactus Jam at Sunnyslope High School.

The Appleton West Terrors entered the Dec. 22 boys basketball matchup with Kaukauna winless in eight tries, and went back to Appleton winless in nine tries after the Galloping Ghosts jumped on them early and handed them a 81-46 loss.
